MILFORD, Del. - The Milford Police Department say a 34-year-old man died Friday evening after a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on North Church Street.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. on May 2, when a white Chevrolet Malibu was heading north on North Church Street and turning left into a home in the 600 block. As the Malibu turned, a black Suzuki motorcycle tried to illegally pass it on the left at a high speed and struck the left side of the car.

The 62-year-old man driving the Malibu was not injured. A 43-year-old woman passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and later released.

North Church Street was closed between North Street Extended and Bright Way for about 3.5 hours while the crash was investigated.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Patrolman First Class G. Smith at (302) 422-8081 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
