MILFORD, Del. - An 18-year-old from Harrington was arrested last week in connection with two motor vehicle theft cases outside, one of which ended in a car being set on fire.
The Milford Police Department says the crimes occurred on May 20 outside Milford Movies 9 on the 900 block of N DuPont Boulevard. Officers said one car was stolen and another attempted theft was reported in the same area.
After the stolen car was taken, investigators said it was intentionally set on fire. That part of the case was handed over to the State Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate as arson.
Police identified Douglas Moore of Harrington as one of the two people believed to be involved. The second person has not yet been identified. Detectives arrested Moore without any issues on May 22.
