DelDOT says the closure will affect Hollyville Road between Washington Street Extension and Route 24, with work expected to last through mid-August, weather permitting. Overnight lane closures on Route 24 near Hollyville Road are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. June 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19.

MILLSBORO, Del. - A portion of Hollyville Road will be closed Monday, June 16, along with overnight lane closures on Route 24 near Hollyville Road, as part of ongoing construction for the North Millsboro Bypass project.

DelDOT says the closure will affect Hollyville Road between Washington Street Extension and Route 24, with work expected to last through mid-August, weather permitting. DelDOT says the road is being realigned to connect with the new configuration of the bypass. Once construction is complete, Hollyville Road will reopen along its new alignment when the bypass opens.

Overnight lane closures on Route 24 will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on June 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19.

Detour Information

  • Drivers heading south on Hollyville Road should turn right onto Mount Joy Road, then left onto Route 30/Gravel Hill Road, and continue to Route 24/John J. Williams Highway

  • Drivers on Route 24 who need to reach Hollyville Road will need to take Route 30/Gravel Hill Road north, turn right onto Mount Joy Road, and follow it to Hollyville Road
