DELAWARE - The nonprofit animal shelter, Humane Animal Partners, took to social media to warn of a scam Monday morning. The scam impersonates HAP and is requesting money from supporters via Venmo.
The organization warns anyone who receives a request for a donation to not accept it. HAP says they never send requests for money through Venmo and the fraudulent accounts have been reported.
