Indian River Celebrating the Win

First State Title win since 2011.

DELAWARE - For the first time since 2011, the Indian River football team captured the Class 1A Delaware state championship, defeating Tatnall 47-45.

Tatnall, the defending champion, led late in the fourth quarter, but Indian River pulled off a dramatic hook-and-ladder play to take the lead and secure the victory. Indian River had led 21-17 at halftime before falling behind by four points in the final minutes.
