SEAFORD, Del. - Lacie Amabili, a respiratory therapist at TidalHealth Nanticoke, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Leighton Moore Helping Hands Award, according to TidalHealth.
The award, created in 2014 by TidalHealth’s board of directors, honors staff who actively give back to the community. Amabili, who has worked at the hospital since 2011, was selected from a large pool of nominees and was nominated four times.
TidalHealth said Amabili is known for her volunteer work and “random acts of kindness,” including buying a stuffed animal for a child whose family couldn’t afford it. She and her family also volunteer every Sunday at Love INC of Mid-Delmarva in Seaford, where they serve meals, distribute care packages and help the local homeless population.
Amabili’s name will be added to a plaque at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. She also received a gift pack from the TidalHealth Foundation.
The award is named after Leighton Moore, a local philanthropist and business owner recognized for his contributions to health care and the community.
