MARYLAND - The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is inviting individuals with extensive boating knowledge to apply to join the Boat Act Advisory Committee.
According to the department, the committee represents all citizens' uses of Maryland waters and provides recommendations to the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources on matters related to boating regulations, technology, and public concerns.
Committee members are expected to possess substantial expertise in the field and typically have held roles within relevant organizations or governmental bodies involved in boating-related activities.
The department states that meetings of the committee are held five to six times annually, where members discuss and advise on critical boating issues. Successful applicants will serve three-year terms with the possibility of reappointment.
