MILFORD, Del. - The Milford Museum’s American History Series continues at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, with a program about Pickett’s Charge, a key moment from the Battle of Gettysburg during the Civil War. The event will take place at the Milford Public Library.
According to the Milford Museum, Taylor Reynolds, a Milford native and Civil War historian, will lead the presentation. He will use firsthand accounts to explain what happened during Pickett’s Charge on July 3, 1863, and will highlight Delawareans who played a role in the battle.
Reynolds is currently the chief of cultural resources for Delaware State Parks and has a background in history and museum studies.
The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Milford Museum and supported by a grant from the Delaware Heritage Commission. The museum's history programs are held on the second Saturday of each month.
