MILTON, Del. - Milton is looking to get its name out there and is doing so by working on creating a tagline.
The town put out a survey for people to help come up with a tagline to draw people into Milton. Questions like 'Which of these three words do you think best describes businesses in Milton?' will help narrow down a phrase that captures the essence of the town.
However Linda Ashley watches her granddaughter who lives in Milton. She said the town cannot handle more people.
"I think there's plenty here. I think there's plenty of homes being built and things like that. To me, it's getting a lot more crowded than it used to be. Traffic is a lot worse," said Ashley, "Getting in and out of places is sometimes impossible on the weekends when we have the weekend traffic."
Yet Marie Boyle said Milton has a lot to offer to become an attraction and welcome new faces,
"I think more people would be wonderful, absolutely... and I know you can do that with the restaurants and with the views if this is advertised."
The phrase, 'The Home of 5 Governors' is often thought of as the official tagline of the town, but town officials said this is not the case.
There is currently no date for when the survey will end. That survey can be taken here.
