New Federal Funding will help food banks on Virginia's Eastern Shore
Virginia officials say $1.5 million is set aside for the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. That money will be used to build a new facility and expand access to food across the region. Along with this, $750,000 is headed to the Hampton Roads sanitation district to upgrade three pump stations in Onancock to improve wastewater reliability.
