DELMARVA - The NWS in Mt. Holly has concluded their storm survey from August 20th, and determined four tornadoes struck portions of Delmarva.
There were three EF-1 tornadoes, and one EF-0. The Dover tornado was the strongest of the four.
Dover experienced an EF-1 tornado that packed maximum winds of 100 to 110 mph. It had a path length of 3.2 miles and a path width of 100 yards. There were no injuries or fatalities.
Barclay, Maryland saw an EF-1 tornado that packed winds of 95- 105 mph. It had a path length of .5 miles and path width of 65 yards. There were no injuries or fatalities.
The Marydel, DE tornado was an EF-1, with maximum winds of 90-100 mph. It had a path length 1.33 miles and a path width of 60 yards. There were no injuries or fatalities.
The Hazlettville, DE tornado was an EF-0, with estimated peak winds of 70-80 mph. It had a path length of .6 miles and a path width of 100 yards.
