OCEAN PINES, Md -Worcester County Public Works has announced that milling and paving work will begin on two key roads in Ocean Pines. The projects, awarded to Allan Myers, will impact both Manklin Creek Road and Cathell Road, with work expected to last into early May.
Starting April 21, crews will begin work on Manklin Creek Road. During that time, drivers are encouraged to use Cathell Road as an alternate route. The paving project is expected to take five to seven days, depending on weather conditions.
Once work on Manklin Creek Road is completed, crews will shift to Cathell Road on or around April 28. Public Works recommends using Manklin Creek Road as a detour while Cathell Road is under construction. That portion of the project is expected to take seven to 10 days.
All work will be done between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and drivers should plan for lane closures and traffic delays during these hours. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic through the construction zones.
The project timeline may change depending on weather, and updates will be provided by Worcester County Public Works as necessary.
