Milling and paving work is underway on side streets off Coastal Highway in Dewey Beach.
The project will include milling, paving, and striping set for the final day. The upgrades are scheduled to be finished before the Maryland Folk Festival, which will be held in downtown Salisbury Sept. 19-21.
The Ocean Pines Branch Library will close temporarily next week as crews mill and repave the parking lot, according to town officials.
According to the City of Salisbury, a private contractor will begin milling and paving work on Benny Street starting Wednesday, July 9, weather permitting.
The town says traffic control will be in place, and drivers can expect crews to work on one side of the road at a time.
Milling and paving work will begin on two key roads in Ocean Pines. It will impact both Manklin Creek Road and Cathell Road, with work expected to last into early May.
Rehoboth Beach is resuming overnight paving work along Rehoboth Avenue.
Now that the replacement of the water main on the ocean block of Maryland Avenue has been completed, milling and paving on Maryland Avenue and 1st Street will begin.
Paving operations on eastbound US 50 were completed overnight. Crews will begin milling westbound US 50 on Monday night, Nov. 27 and the project should be complete by mid-November, according to MDOT.
