OCEAN VIEW, Del. - An Ocean View man was sentenced on Tuesday to 48 months in prison for distributing meth last year, according to The U.S. Attorney's Office.

In July 2022, court documents show that investigators seized one pound of meth and $6,000 cash from 35-year old Vincent Mitchell's home. The investigation also found that Mitchell got the meth from Philadelphia once a month to sell in the Ocean View area.

The case was investigated by the Ocean View Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The Honorable Colm F. Connolly, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, pronounced the sentence for Mitchell.

“Methamphetamine remains among the deadliest drugs plaguing our streets today. Peddling this poison endangers the safety of our community," U.S. Attorney David Weiss, the prosecutor overseeing the Hunter Biden case,  said, "My office will continue to seek significant prison sentences for those, like Mr. Mitchell, who profit from illegal drug trafficking.”
