A shooting on the Dover campus of Delaware State University is under investigation.

Someone who is not a DSU student was wounded Monday night. Injuries are apparently not life-threatening.

Delaware State University President Tony Allen, in a statement to the University community, said a suspect has been identified and multiple people have been detained for questioning.

This is finals week at DSU. The university is making remote options available for any student who feels he or she cannot take a final in person.

DSU Police and Dover Police responded to the incident.

"...whoever believes a disagreement of any kind should be answered with a firearm has acted against everything for which this University stands. This University is hallowed ground...," Allen said in the statement. "Our job is to educate global citizens. Period. Full stop."
