Backpack

The campaign is designed to ensure that every student at Georgetown Elementary begins the year equipped to learn and thrive.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The Rehoboth Beach Police Department and Westminster Presbyterian Church have launched a Pack the Backpack campaign to support students at Georgetown Elementary School ahead of the 2025–2026 school year.

The effort, which runs from June 16 through July 31, invites community members to donate essential school supplies. Organizers say a donation drop-off is available in the lobby of the Rehoboth Beach Police Department.

The supply list includes full-size backpacks (at least 15 inches high), traditional pencils (no mechanical), headphones (not earbuds), composition books, glue sticks, scissors, dry erase fine tip markers (black only), Clorox wipes, and a variety of classroom basics such as crayons, folders, and index cards.

In addition to Westminster Presbyterian and Rehoboth Beach Police, other campaign partners include Georgetown Presbyterian Church, Coolspring Presbyterian Church, and the Philanthropic Educational Organization.
