SNOW HILL, Md. - Scammers are spoofing the Delmarva Power phone number and impersonating the company, according to the Worcester County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities are warning people to be cautious of callers who threaten to disconnect power unless immediate payment is made.
The agency says hang up on these callers and contact Delmarva Power directly at the number listed on the utility bill to confirm the legitimacy of the call.
