REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The Rehoboth Art League kicks off its summer season with the return of the 52nd Annual Members’ Fine Craft Exhibition, on view from June 13 through July 13.
The exhibit features handmade works by RAL member artists, including ceramics, fiber art, jewelry, glass, wood and mixed media. It will be housed in the Corkran and Tubbs galleries, with awards given to standout pieces.
Handmade works by member artists are featured in the Rehoboth Art League’s 52nd Annual Members’ Fine Craft Exhibition. (Rehoboth Art League.)
A public opening reception will be held on Friday, June 13, from 5 to 7 p.m., with access to summer exhibits.Â
Two additional shows, drawn from the league’s permanent collection, will also open. In the DeWitt Gallery, “Inside the Studio of Ethel PB Leach” explores the life and work of one of Delaware’s early female artists. Alongside her artwork, the exhibit includes personal items such as her easel, tools and sketches.
In the Homestead Gallery, “Feathered and Fancy” celebrates birds through a range of artistic interpretations — from paintings to sculpture — all selected from the RAL archives.
A free gallery talk will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m. with this year’s exhibition judge, Jinsoon Oh, a Salisbury-based artist originally from Seoul, South Korea, who is trained in secondary art education.
All exhibits are free and open to the public during regular gallery hours:Â Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
