According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, the maintenance is now set to start at 9 a.m. Thursday and continue through 5 p.m. on Friday, April 25.

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Drivers in Georgetown should expect lane and shoulder closures on East Market Street starting Thursday, April 10, as Delmarva Central Railroad crews begin maintenance work at the railroad crossing.

The project, originally scheduled to begin April 9, was delayed by weather. According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, the maintenance is now set to start at 9 a.m. Thursday and continue through 5 p.m. on Friday, April 25.

During the two-week period, East Market Street will see intermittent closures of both travel lanes and shoulders near the crossing. DelDOT advises drivers to use caution in the area and to plan for minor delays.
