GEORGETOWN, Del. - The Southern Delaware Chorale announced the 2026 recipients of the high school scholarship.
The following are the newest recipients of the scholarship:
Evelyn Williams, a senior at Indian River High School. She participates in drama club, a cappella choir, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and County and All-State Choir. Evelyn has also performed in musical theater through productions at Southern Delaware School for the Arts and Indian River High School and has been an active member of Possum Point Players since 2022.
Summer Everngam, a senior at Indian River High School. She participates in school musicals, a cappella choir, and the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and she also performs in school and local theater productions and spins with the IRHS Color Guard.
Janel Garcia Montaña, a senior at Indian River High School. She has performed with both County and All-State Choir and enjoys singing at community events alongside her fellow choir members.
Each High School Scholar receives funding for private voice lessons, joins the Chorale in weekly rehearsals and concerts, and performs a featured solo during the season.
Applications for the 2027 scholarship cycle open in March.
