REHOBOTH BEACH, Del — Sussex County Habitat for Humanity celebrated a major milestone Wednesday morning with the dedication of its 200th home, a moment marking decades of community impact and partnership.
The event took place at 19826 Hebron Road in Rehoboth Beach. The home, built in collaboration with the West Rehoboth Community Land Trust, was the focus of a celebration that drew nearly 200 supporters to the West Rehoboth neighborhood — including volunteers, community members, and local leaders.

Speakers at the event included Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer, Sussex County Habitat CEO Kevin Gilmore, State Senator Russ Huxtable, County Councilwoman Jane Gruenebaum, and Land Trust board member Sam Cooper.
“Since 1991, their work has touched the lives of thousands, including more than 450 children, giving them a foundation to grow and thrive, Meyer said. "This 200th home, made possible through local, state, and federal partnerships, shows what we can accomplish when we work together.”
The celebration included housewarming gifts from several local organizations, including St. Martha’s Episcopal Church, the Common Threads quilting group from Eagles Nest Church, the Rehoboth Art League, Duke’s Lumber, and Gardeners by the Sea.
