Tia Jarvis joined CoastTV News in September 2026. A Sussex County native and Cape Henlopen High School graduate, she recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Delaware State University.
While at DSU, Tia worked with Delaware State Athletics covering football, softball and women’s wrestling. She also served as a lead anchor for DESU-TV and co-produced First to the Mat, a short documentary on the university’s women’s wrestling program. The program was recognized through the Coca-Cola/NATAS HBCU Sports Production Grant at the 47th Annual Sports Emmy Awards.
Tia’s passion for local news began during her 2024 internship with CoastTV on the Digital Media team, where she covered stories throughout Delmarva. She is passionate about telling meaningful stories, connecting with the community and highlighting the people and places that make Delmarva home. Outside the newsroom, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and keeping up with sports.
