MILLSBORO, Del. - A two-car crash disrupted the Monday morning commute in Millsboro after a collision occurred at the intersection of Long Neck Road and School Lane.

The accident happened around 8:10 a.m. Monday, when a silver Buick Verano and a silver Chevrolet Captiva collided in the roadway. Both cars suffered front-end damage and were left inoperable, according to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company.

Emergency units from Indian River, including Tanker 80 from Oak Orchard and Engine 80-1 from Long Neck, responded to the scene. The Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and Delaware State Fire Police also assisted.

Crews worked to clean up debris and fluids, stabilize the damaged cars and evaluate the people involved. The Delaware State Fire Police maintained traffic control throughout the response, and the Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
