SALISBURY, Md. - Gadget and Gizmo, two ferrets at the Salisbury Zoo, have been welcomed into the wildlife ambassador team.
As part of the ambassador team, the ferrets will help educate guests about the mammals, responsible pet ownership and the importance of all animals in the ecosystem. The zoo said guests can find the two at events, education programs and more.
Gizmo and Gadget are 1-year-old brothers. Gadget is a lighter color and bigger than Gadget, but employees say both of them bring a wonderful energy that the Salisbury Zoo ensures will attract guests.
The zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
