LEWES, Del. - Delaware State Police are investigating a reported assault involving a teenager that happened at the Movies at Midway in Lewes on Sunday.

Troopers responded to the theater around 7:02 p.m. after receiving reports of a fight inside the men’s bathroom. According to investigators, a 14-year-old boy was recording with a cell phone when an unknown white man entered the restroom along with two children.

A verbal altercation broke out between the man and the teen, which escalated when the man pushed the teen twice, knocking him to the floor. (Matt Smith)

Troopers from Delaware State Police Troop 7 are actively working to identify the man involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact Corporal Grade One N. McLaughlin at DSP Troop 7 by calling 302-644-5020.
