OCEAN CITY, Md. - A community beach cleanup is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, from 8 to 10 a.m. at 4th Street in Ocean City. Volunteers will work to collect trash along the beach and surrounding streets.
According to the Maryland Coastal Bays Program, participants will meet on the Boardwalk at 4th Street to pick up materials. Tables will be set up with all the necessary equipment. At 9:30 a.m., volunteers will return to the same location to weigh the collected trash and celebrate their efforts.
The cleanup is open to all ages. Organizers recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow time for parking.
The event is a partnership between the Town of Ocean City, Beach Heroes-OC, Maryland Coastal Bays Program, OC Surf Club, Assateague Coastal Trust, Surfrider Foundation – Ocean City Maryland Chapter, Restore the Shore, and Go Green OC.
