2025 scholarship recipients

WORCESTER COUNTY,Ā Md. - The Worcester County Arts Council has awarded $10,000 in scholarships to six students pursuing college degrees in the arts.

The 2025 scholarship recipients are Savannah Chisholm, Aiden Clayton, Genevieve Eggers, Teresa Guo, Tirzah Hill and Ja'Mari Savage. The students were recognized during the council’s Arts Celebration event on June 11.

The scholarships support high school seniors and college students from Worcester County studying fields such as dance, music, theater, visual arts, creative writing and culinary arts.

ā€œThese young artists represent the next generation of creative leaders, and we’re proud to support their education and artistic growth.ā€Ā Anna Mullis, Executive Director of the Worcester County Arts Council says.

The program is funded by community donors, including a contribution from John Sisson in memory of his sister, visual artist Janet Reaney Sisson Paper.

Over the past decade, the council says it has awarded nearly $100,000 in arts scholarships.
