People are gathering in Georgetown Sunday evening to honor Cpl. Matthew "Ty" Snook, who was killed in the line of duty two days before Christmas.
"The Georgetown community understands all too well the profound pain felt by families, friends, and colleagues when those who are charged with protecting us are taken far too soon," the vigil page reads.
The vigil drew mourners from across Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, many of whom remembered Kirk as a powerful voice for conservative values, religious freedom, and civic discourse.
Ahead of International Overdose Awareness Day, one organization brought the community together to remember the lives lost to overdose.
