The second annual Race for Open Space will take place April 5 at George H.P. Smith Park, with proceeds benefiting the Fourth Street Preserve campaign to protect Lewes’ last forested open space.

The six kinetic public art sculptures currently on display in Lewes, are set to come down very soon.
A bike plan that includes printed maps of trails and placing new racks at George H.P. Smith park is expected to be reviewed Tuesday at the city's Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee. Updated maps of trails are being developed. Since Memorial Day, the committee reports that approximately 1,300 maps have been distributed.
