Special Olympics Delaware will join schools across the state on March 5 for the 17th Annual Spread the Word - Inclusion Day, a global movement promoting respect and inclusion for people of all abilities.

Delaware's Senate Bill 297, which mandates the inclusion of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander histories in K-12 education, has passed the House unanimously and awaits the governor's signature. Advocated by Make Us Visible Delaware, this legislation aims to foster inclusivity and combat stereotypes by ensuring diverse representation in school curricula.

DOVER, Del.- Wednesday, May 15, the Senate Education Committee released Senate Bill 297. 

An act to amend title 29 of Delaware code in regard to a commission on Asian and Pacific Islander heritage and culture was recently voted on with one person in favor of the bill and four others agreeing to move it forward but with further consideration needed.
