Delaware’s first weekend of recreational marijuana sales generated more than $903,000 in revenue from medical and adult sales, according to state officials, marking a successful start to the state’s adult-use cannabis market.

 Governor Matt Meyer announced Monday his nomination of Joshua Sanderlin, to serve as Delaware’s new Marijuana Commissioner. This comes after Robert Coupe stepped down in January.

Delaware’s first Marijuana Commissioner, Robert Coupe, is stepping down after overseeing the establishment of the state’s regulated recreational marijuana market. Coupe will transition to a role in the private sector.
