The DNREC Division of Parks and Recreation announced it is participating in "Parks for Pollinators," a national campaign focused on raising awareness about the ongoing pollinator crisis through programs in 35 states which will feature events at several Delaware state parks and the Brandywine Zoo.
The Lewes Community Garden will host a free pollinator gardening workshop by Sussex County Master Gardeners on Aug. 17, aiming to educate the public on the importance of supporting pollinators and creating pollinator-friendly habitats.
Ocean City is offering mini-grants for pollinator gardens and native beach district plants like beach grass, aiming to boost sustainability and provide wildlife habitats. The grant is an effort through Ocean City's Green Team.
