Delaware environmental experts have issued a recreational water advisory for Deauville Beach and the main beach in Cape Henlopen State Park after routine water quality testing found elevated levels of fecal indicator bacteria.
For the past week, beaches along Delmarva have been dealing with medical waste washing ashore. In response to the hazardous waste, DNREC issued a recreational water advisory for Delaware coastal beaches.
Following several reports of syringes, hypodermic needles, and other medical waste along the coast, DNREC has officially issued a Recreational Water Advisory for Rehoboth-Queen Street beach. DNREC says emergency response teams are monitoring beaches along the coastline.
