The state of Delaware has created a new program for firearms trainers to get certified to teach people who are applying for a handgun qualified purchaser permit.
Delaware has officially established its first statewide office dedicated to suicide prevention, following Gov. Matt Meyer’s (D) signing of House Bill 54, also known as DJ’s Act, on Monday.
House Bill 174 would establish a new state fund to help families cover funeral costs, mental health counseling, temporary housing, and lost wages. The bill is modeled on the existing Victims’ Compensation Assistance Program.
