Wilkerson was found guilty on all charges after his bench trial in October.

Before the Heacook murder trial, prosecutors argued against the defense's claim that convicted murderer Randon Wilkerson unknowingly used bath salts, leading to the exclusion of this argument from trial evidence. Despite expectations of an appeal, the prosecution remains confident the verdict will stand.

Wilkerson was found guilty on all charges, including first degree murder, assault and possession of deadly weapons in the trial for the 2021 killing of Delmar Corporal Keith Heacook. The court heard details of the assault, including Wilkerson's erratic behavior and drug use. 

The case review scheduled for Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. for the man accused of killing Cpl. Heacook in 2021 was cancelled.
