Organizers of the White Marlin Open in Ocean City have extended fishing days through Sunday, Aug. 10 due to weather conditions. Registration deadline remains Sunday, Aug. 3.
The 50th White Marlin Open started on Monday with 378 boats of the 400 registered out on the Atlantic Ocean. The $10.3 million prize money is a record. Compare that to the total purse for the first event in 1974 was $20,000.
