MILTON, Del.- State Representative Alonna Berry is scheduled to hold a town hall Monday at the Milton Public Library, giving people an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues affecting the district.
Berry said the meeting will focus on her work in Dover and the district's future. The event will also be available through Zoom.
“I’m excited to share an upcoming Town Hall at the Milton Public Library on August 31st. It will be an opportunity to hear directly from me, ask questions, and have an open conversation about my work in Dover and the future of our district,” Berry said in an announcement.
The town hall comes after Berry said she accepted an invitation to take part in a candidate forum in Lewes but later had to withdraw because of a scheduling conflict.
Since the legislative session ended, Berry said she has continued working in Sussex County by meeting with neighbors, visiting local organizations and businesses, and addressing issues affecting communities in the area.
“Public service means showing up, listening, and being accountable,” Berry said. “I look forward to continuing to do exactly that, and I hope to see you in-person or on Zoom on August 31st.”
The town hall is scheduled for Aug. 31 at the Milton Public Library. Organizers say doors open at 4:30 p.m. with the event starting at 5 p.m.
