BETHANY BEACH, Del.- The Bethany Beach Seaside Concert Series returns this summer with an expanded schedule, including weekend performances for the first time.
The series kicks off on June 5 at the Bethany Beach Bandstand. Thursday night concerts will continue in June, while Saturday night shows will be added in July and August.
In September and October, Sunday concerts will move to Friday nights. The changes were made in response to audience feedback.
“Many of our seasonal property owners and visitors work during the week and can’t make the Thursday or Sunday night concerts,” said Julie Malewski, the town’s events director. “The new schedule will allow locals and businesses to continue to benefit from weekday shows while also offering weekend options.”
A total of 48 concerts are scheduled for the season, with about a quarter of them being tribute performances. Seventeen acts will make their debut at the bandstand, joining a mix of returning favorites and nationally recognized performers.
June’s lineup includes Cimarron 615, featuring members of the country-rock band Poco, and a Barry Manilow tribute band. July’s schedule introduces a Rolling Stones tribute, a modern rock group, and a Bon Jovi tribute act. The Fourth of July celebration will feature a parade, fireworks, and a performance by Rick K.: Motown to Mars…and Beyond!
Other highlights include a kids’ dance party, country music tributes, and a mini-Oktoberfest in October. The season finale on Oct. 25 will feature Puppy Pals Live, a stunt-filled dog show that gained national attention on America’s Got Talent.
Concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the summer and 6:30 p.m. in the fall. All events are free and subject to weather conditions.
