Bethany Beach proposes parking fee hike to cover rising summer costs

The Town of Bethany Beach is considering a 33% increase in its hourly parking fee as part of its proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget, raising the rate from $3.00 to $4.00 per hour. The town's finance committee says the increase is necessary to offset rising costs associated with summer operations, including staffing, entertainment, safety, and beautification efforts.
