MILFORD, Del. - The Carlisle Fire Company is receiving additional funding to support the launch of its fourth ambulance, complete with the necessary equipment to meet growing demand for emergency services in the city.
Lewis Sacks, president of the fire company, explained to CoastTV that the increased number of emergency calls is driving the need for this expansion. As the city’s population rises, so does the demand for timely and effective emergency response.
Milford Mayor Todd Culotta emphasized the importance of staying ahead of these needs, "You can never have too many emergency service resources," Mayor Culotta said. "As the city grows, so does the expectation for fire, EMS, and police services."
Local husband and wife Daniel and Autumn Wheeler, who live in Milford, expressed their support for the new ambulance.
"I've had family members in emergency situations, and having this extra ambulance will help response times," said Daniel. Autumn added, "It's great knowing our community has these resources."
With the addition of a fourth ambulance, Carlisle Fire Company is preparing for a more equipped and timely emergency response as Milford continues to grow.
