SALISBURY, Md.- The City of Salisbury has finished resurfacing the City Park tennis courts, marking a major step in improving recreational spaces.

To celebrate, officials are hosting a grand reopening event on Monday, June 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., weather permitting. In a playful spin on tradition, Mayor Randy Taylor will “serve the community” by swapping scissors for a tennis racket and hitting the ceremonial opening serve.

“Whether you're ready to rally, working on your backhand, or just love a good community celebration, swing by for the festivities,” city officials said in a Facebook post. The event will offer locals a chance to see the improvements up close.

The City Park tennis courts are located off North Park Drive, between Beaver Dam Drive and Main Street.
