Winds exceeding 50 mph along the Delmarva coast and a period of intense rain hit the peninsula Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning.
Prime Hook is reporting it received 3.22 inches of rain. 2.98 was shown in Lewes.
Wind was a big story too. Over 70 mph was reported at the Salisbury Regional Airport. In Sussex County, Georgetown saw the highest at 58 mph. Lewes reported 57 mph, Dewey Beach 56 mph, and Dagsboro 53 mph.
The storm forced many school districts to operate on delays Wednesday morning. Cape Henlopen, Indian River, Laurel, Worcester County Schools and Sussex Tech started the day with two hour delays. Delmar had 90 minutes as did Wicomico County Schools.
