We salute Alvin “Buddy” Simpson for his extraordinary 70 years in the fire service. In the early 1970s, he helped start the ambulance service in Greensboro, expanding emergency care for his community. He also chaired the restoration of the historic 1927 Hale pumper, preserving a proud piece of local history. A Korean War veteran, Buddy served his country with honor and spent a lifetime serving others at home. Spicer Bros. and CoastTV are honoring military persons and first responders serving Delmarva.
