Chief Raymond J. Austin has served the Ocean City Police Department since 1991, rising through the ranks to lead the Criminal Investigation Division, Patrol, and specialty units before graduating from the FBI National Academy's 254th Session in 2013. He has long championed community policing through programs such as National Night Out, the Citizens' Police Academy, and Coffee with Cops. After retiring in 2022 and serving as a Special Investigator with the Worcester County State's Attorney's Office, he now returns to lead the Ocean City Police Department with a focus on public safety, accountability, and partnership. We thank Chief Austin for a career defined by integrity, leadership, and devotion to the community he calls home. Spicer Bros. and CoastTV are honoring military personnel and first responders serving Delmarva.
