Captain Dean Popovich has dedicated his career to serving others, beginning with the United States Army and the Newport News Police Department before joining the Salisbury Police Department in 2009. His experience spans the Safe Streets Unit, Tactical Unit, and Criminal Investigations Division, and as an instructor he has helped shape future officers. A graduate of the 292nd Session of the FBI National Academy, he now leads as Commander of the Operations Division while remaining a devoted husband and father of three..
