We Salute Chief Ivan E. Barkley Sr. Chief Barkley began his career as a Salisbury Police Department patrol officer in 1984 and spent 30 honorable years rising through the ranks of detective, tactical team member, and squad commander, retiring as Assistant Chief and Colonel. He also served as the City of Salisbury’s acting police chief during a crucial transition. Since 2015, he has led the Delmar Police Department, keeping a bi-state community safe. A steady champion of local youth sports and community outreach, he bridges the gap between law enforcement and the people he serves. Delmarva is safer and stronger for more than four decades of his selfless service. Spicer Bros. and CoastTV are honoring military personnel and first responders serving Delmarva. If you have a family member, friend, or community member you'd like to nominate for a CoastTV Salute, go to CoastTV.com.
