Libraries across Delaware will see visits from the Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation and Orpheus Collar through the 2025 Summer Library Reading Program. (Milton Public Library)

DELAWARE - Delaware libraries are opening their doors for the 2025 Summer Library Reading Program. The statewide program's 46th anniversary theme is "Color Our World."

The annual initiative encourages reading during the summer months when school is out, working to keep them academically engaged. 

Special programs include the "Science of Color" from the Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation, coming to local libraries these days:

  • Milford: Thursday, July 17. 11 a.m.

  • Rehoboth: Wednesday, July 9. 10:30 a.m.

  • Frankford: Tuesday, July 15. 1 p.m.

  • Milton: Tuesday, July 22. 10:30 a.m.

  • Lauren: Wednesday, July 30. 10:30 a.m.

  • Selbyville: Friday, August 1. 11 a.m.

  • Millsboro: Tuesday, August 5. 11 a.m.

  • Georgetown: Thursday, August 7. 11 a.m.

Best-selling graphic novelist Orpheus Collar will also be visiting libraries in August. 

Readers of all ages can register at their local public library or online.Â
