MILFORD, Del. - Delaware Police investigate a murder-suicide in Milford after pronouncing two people dead in their home on July 5.
Around 4:15 p.m., troopers responded to the 7000 block of Sugar Maple Drive in Sugar Maple Farms after a man called 911 to report he had killed his wife and then hung up.
Police say that after multiple failed attempts to contact the man again, the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team entered the residence.
Police say that upon arriving, they found a 38-year-old woman with gunshot wounds and a 43-year-old man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are being withheld until families are notified.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating the incident and asks anyone with information regarding the case to contact Detective Z. Spudis at (302) 752-3795.
