SEAFORD, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted robbery that took place early Tuesday morning on Concord Road near Sussex Highway.

According to DSP, the incident occurred around 12:56 a.m. on March 18. The victim, a ride-share driver, was driving two women when a man approached his car at a red light. The man, who had gotten out of another car, leaned into this driver’s car and tried to steal his belongings.

While the accused robber attempted to take the victim’s property, one of the women in the back seat restrained the driver. A struggle followed, but all three individuals ultimately ran away without taking anything. The driver was not hurt.

Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is handling the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective D. Hickman at (302) 752-3856.
