Sip & Shop returns to Dewey Beach to Help Local Artists

DEWEY BEACH, Del. — On Sunday, 35 artists gathered under a tent in Dewey Beach to orchestrate the seventh annual Sip & Shop, a three-day long weekend event where independent artists showcase and sell their work.

Last year, the event was able to held under the same tent, and 2021 was a record year for artists. The Developing Arist Collaboration (DAC), whose founders say will help artists bounce back from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"More 2,000 people came to this event , and to put that into perspective, our capacity of the tent is 160. We had a line wrapped around the block, we couldn't have asked for a greater showing of our community," Leah Beach, Founder of the DAC, said.

Founders of the DAC say they will open a retail shop in West Rehoboth in December.
